The Crow and the Pitcher: An Animal Story Once upon a time, there was a crow who was very thirsty and wanted water desperately. He flew around the forest, looking for a pond or stream where he could quench his thirst. But, unfortunately, he couldn’t find any water, and the summer heat was too much for him to bear. The crow was beginning to lose hope when he spotted something interesting in the distance. It was a pitcher filled with water. The crow was delighted, and he flew to the pitcher immediately.
