When the monk was going to perform the rituals, a river came across the way. The monk thought he should take a bath before performing the rituals, thinking that the monk had expressed his desire to take a bath with his disciple. The monk kept the bundle of money on the bank of the river.

The monk asked the thug to guard his bundle and went to bathe himself. The thug had been waiting for this moment for a long time. As soon as the monk started bathing in the river, the thug ran away with the bundle of money.

When the sadhu came out of the bath and realized the truth, it was too late, and the sadhu sat there holding his head and got the biggest lesson of his life.

Lesson from the story: We should never get carried away by the smooth talk of any stranger.
