Real spooky experience in polytechnic hostel story
Back in January 2006, I got offered to study at Polytechnic in Banaras, Uttarpradesh. We have to reside in the hostel for the first semester as new students.
During my six months in the hostel, I encountered a variety of weird situations. I heard alot of the encounter stories from my seniors about the hostel, but I don’t give a damn at the beginning.
My roommate fell asleep on the first night following the first day of orientation, leaving us exhausted. I was ready to fall asleep when I heard footsteps outside my door.
I thought must be my next door student, but the sound keeps on non-stop, sometimes it walked like dragging the shoe, sometimes running and jumping! I was really pissed off that time and I decided to get up and tell the person to stop it.
So I was waiting at my door and waited the sound right outside my door, when I opened the door… I saw nothing! I felt strong cold wind blow after me.
I was thinking… the corridor surrounding by all hostel rooms, there is no way the wind can blow to corridor.I checked next door and saw that all the doors were tightly shut, so I felt something was wrong, so I quickly closed the door and went back to sleep.
On the next day I asked my roommate did he heard the noise, he answered me he was in deep sleep and don’t know what was going on. I still never gave up and wanted to find the answer… but until now I still haven’t get it. The sound can be heard almost everynight! That’s why I have to sleep with listening to my walkman that time.
I could hear even more strange sounds surrounding my hostel during my mid-semester exam. I heard a group of kids playing in another corridor that connected to another block of hostels one time.
The sound transfer between corridors, as we all know, will produce a loud echo sound. I was perplexed as to why my hostel had children. I’ve never seen any kids on my campus during the day, so where did they come from?
I could hear them giggling, as well as the sound of a small bicycle and marble balls. I purposely went to toilet for a pee to check it out, the toilet just right at the corridor, when I pass by there… I don’t see anything and the sound slowly get faded.
I remember that time, a radio station 98.5 used to have ‘encounter’ show for 30 minutes long on every monday night. . My buddies and I never miss a radio broadcast, and we always get together in a room to listen to it.
We were still thrilled about the stories after the play one night, so we started talking about it. We could see the sky was clear and stars were everywhere because it was a clear and hot night. The weather changed significantly in less than 5 minutes, with heavy winds and thunder rumbling overhead.
We made the decision to change the subject, and guess what? In less than 5 minutes, the weather returned to normal! On that night, some of my friends were disturbing by ‘uninvited guest’.
They can’t move or talk at all until they chanting bible words then they only back to normal! They told me on the next day, and they were fall sick at the same time.
The strange sound becomes extra scarier during final exam week! Got one middle of the night, I heard someone shouting very loud like very helpless, the sound was like very struggled.
I quickly ran out from my room and see what is going on. I see nothing again! Normally, if we made a disturbance, other students would come over and advise us to be quiet, but I noticed that everyone was focused on their revision.
That’s really weird, because the voice was so clear and loud for so long, but everyone seems like heard nothing.
According to my seniors’ stories, the block I stayed which is block C, got a student accidently dropped in the upper roof the reservoir and died in t`here.
For block A, a student was accidentally dumped from the stairwell, and for block B, a student had previously committed suicide. What I learned about these three blocks of the hostel is that they always leave some rooms empty on the top floor (3rd floor) and lock them very tightly.
Despite the fact that there were still many empty rooms, the warden continuously assured us that there would be no more. Does the rooms are reserved for ‘them’?
My other senior told me, they were staying at 3rd floor, that floor really spooky all the time, got one time he went to his friend’s room just for chit chat.
His friend saw ‘something’ walk by the door, his friend suddenly feld unwell and passed away following week with ‘unidentify’ sickness!Doctors are also unable to determine the nature of the illness.
During my six-month stay, I was sick for four months straight! We all have to move out at the end of the semester and look for a room or a house for ourselves. When I left the hostel, my sickness getting well right after that… Thank god!!!
