The Stork and the Farmer | Podcast

Once upon a time, there was a farmer who was having trouble with birds stealing his newly sown seeds. In an effort to protect his crops, he decided to set up nets around his fields. Unfortunately, many birds were caught in the nets, including a stork.

The stork pleaded with the farmer not to kill him, explaining that his leg was fractured and begging for sympathy. He also pointed out that he was not like the other birds but instead a noble bird who served his parents with great devotion.

Despite the stork’s pleas, the farmer just smiled and told the bird that, while his statements may be true, he was still caught in the net and thus subject to the same fate as the other birds.

The moral of the story is that we should be careful not to make exceptions for ourselves based on our status or position. Just as the stork was caught in the net like the other birds, we are all subject to the same rules and consequences. It is important to treat everyone equally, regardless of their background or status.
