Naruto is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto.
It narrates the story of Naruto Uzumaki, a young ninja whose dream is to be a Hokage ( the leader of the village)
The first story appeared in the Japanese manga Karakuri in 1995. The narrative was continued in a second manga volume and the Weekly Shonen Jump serial.
Naruto was made into a television anime series in 2002. The original storyline has inspired a second series, eleven films, including several spin-offs.
Naruto is the fourth best-selling manga series in history, with 250 million copies in circulation in 47 countries across the world, including 153 million copies in Japan and 97 million copies globally.
