The Grasshopper and the Owl: An Animal Story
Once upon a time, in a lush green forest, a grasshopper named Jerry was hopping around carelessly, enjoying the warm sunshine and the sweet melody of the birds. One day, he came across an old owl named Oliver, who was perched on a branch.
“Hello, little grasshopper,” the owl said. “Be careful, there are predators lurking around.”
Jerry laughed and replied, “Thank you for your concern, old fellow, but I’m a fast runner and a quick hopper.” “Nothing can catch me.”
The owl shook his head and warned Jerry again, “Please be careful, my young friend.” “The forest can be dangerous.”
Jerry, however, paid no heed to the wise owl’s advice and continued to jump around carelessly, often venturing into areas he wasn’t familiar with.
One day, while hopping around, Jerry got caught in a spider’s web. The more he struggled, the more entangled he became.
“Help me! Somebody help me! Jerry cried out.
Suddenly, he saw the owl flying towards him. “Please help me, Mr. Owl,” Jerry pleaded.
The owl quickly flew to Jerry’s rescue and used his sharp beak to cut the grasshopper free.
“Thank you, Mr. Owl,” Jerry said, his voice trembling with gratitude. “I should have listened to your advice.” “I could have been more careful.”
The owl replied, “It’s alright, Jerry.” We all make mistakes. But it’s important to learn from them.”
Jerry realized his mistake and promised to be more careful in the future. From that day on, he always listened to the owl’s advice and was more aware of his surroundings. He also became friends with the wise old owl and often visited him to seek his guidance.
The moral of the story is to always be aware of your surroundings and to listen to the advice of those who are more experienced than you. Ignoring advice can lead to dangerous consequences.
