The Abandoned Hospital: A Ghost Story
It was a warm summer evening when five friends, Mark, Emily, Jacob, Sara, and Tom, decided to go urban exploring in an abandoned hospital on the outskirts of town. As they approached the hospital, they could see the tall, rusted gates that surrounded the property. Emily was the first to speak up.
“Are you sure we should be doing this?” she asked nervously.
“Don’t be scared, Emily. “We’ve done this a hundred times,” replied Mark, the group’s self-proclaimed leader.
The group made their way through the gates and towards the main entrance of the hospital. The front doors creaked as they were pushed open, and the group stepped inside, their flashlights cutting through the darkness.
As they walked through the halls, they could hear their footsteps echoing against the walls. The air was musty and filled with the smell of decay.
“This place gives me the creeps,” said Sara, shivering.
Jacob chuckled. “Come on, it’s just an old hospital.” “What’s the worst that could happen?”
As they continued exploring, they came across an old operating room. The rusty metal instruments and blood-stained tables made their stomachs turn.
“Whoever left this place must have been in a hurry,” said Tom, noticing the abandoned medical equipment.
Suddenly, they heard a noise coming from down the hall. They all froze, listening carefully.
“Did you hear that?” whispered Emily.
Mark signalled for everyone to follow him as they crept down the hallway towards the noise. As they turned the corner, they saw a shadowy figure disappearing behind a door.
“Who’s there?” called out Mark.
No answer.
“Let’s check it out,” said Jacob, bravely leading the way.
They cautiously opened the door, and to their surprise, they found themselves in a room filled with old patient records and medical supplies.
“This is strange,” said Sara, picking up a medical chart. “These records are from the 1920s.”
As they sifted through the documents, they heard a faint whispering sound. Suddenly, they realized that the hospital was not as empty as they thought. The ghosts of the former patients and staff had not left this place.
“Did you guys hear that?” asked Tom, his voice shaking.
“Let’s just get out of here,” said Emily, her eyes wide with fear.
The group turned to leave but found that the door had mysteriously locked itself. They were trapped.
“What are we going to do?” asked Sara, starting to panic.
“Stay calm,” said Mark, trying to keep the group composed. “We’ll find another way out.”
As they searched the room for another exit, they could hear the ghostly whispers growing louder. Suddenly, a hospital bed moved across the room, and the group screamed in terror.
“We have to get out of here now!” yelled Jacob.
The group frantically searched for an escape route, but they were met with locked doors and boarded-up windows.
“We’re never going to get out of here,” said Emily, tears streaming down her face.
Just then, they heard a voice calling out from the other side of the door. It was the security guard.
“Is anyone in there?” “I’m here to check on the building,” he called out.
“Help us!” yelled Mark.
The security guard quickly unlocked the door and found the group huddled in the room.
“What are you kids doing in here?” “This place is dangerous,” scolded the guard.
“We were just exploring,” explained Tom.
The security guard escorted them out of the hospital, and the group ran back to their cars. They were all shaken by the experience and vowed never to go urban exploring again.
As they continued down the hallway, they heard the sound of footsteps coming from one of the rooms. They cautiously approached the door and slowly pushed it open. Inside, they saw an old wheelchair sitting in the corner, and a hospital bed with restraints attached to it.
Suddenly, they heard a loud scream coming from the room next door. They quickly rushed to the room, and saw a figure standing in the corner, with its back turned to them. The figure slowly turned around, revealing a twisted, grotesque face.
The group of friends were frozen with fear, unable to move or speak. The figure slowly started to approach them, and they could hear the sound of its heavy breathing. They tried to run, but their legs felt heavy as if they were made of lead.
As the figure was about to grab them, they suddenly heard a loud buzzing noise, and the figure disappeared. They looked around and saw an old radio lying on a nearby table. They realized that the noise must have scared off the ghostly figure.
Feeling relieved, they continued exploring the abandoned hospital, but they were constantly on edge, afraid that another ghostly encounter would happen. They explored several more rooms, each one more terrifying than the last.
As they made their way to the exit, they heard the sound of footsteps behind them. They turned around to see the twisted figure standing in front of them once again. But this time, they were prepared. One of the friends had brought a camera and took a picture of the figure.
As the flash went off, the figure let out a blood-curdling scream and disappeared once again. The friends quickly ran out of the hospital and never looked back.
Once they were safely outside, they looked at the photo on the camera. To their surprise, the figure was not visible in the picture, only a faint mist that appeared to be in the shape of a twisted figure.
The friends realized that the hospital was still haunted, and they vowed never to return. They told people that it could be dangerous to go into abandoned buildings and that it could be dangerous to meet ghosts.
From that day on, they had a newfound respect for the paranormal and the power that it held over the living. They knew that the abandoned hospital was a place that was best left alone, and they hoped that no one else would make the same mistake they did.
